C. Mahadevan Endowment Lecture

This was instituted in the year 2008 jointly by Prof. U. Aswathanarayana and Prof. Mahadevan's family members in memory of late Prof C.Mahadevan of the Geology Department of the Andhra University, Waltair,who was well known as a dedicated field geologist, researcher, teacher and human being par excellence. He had pioneered studies in Marine Geology, Nuclear Geology in Andhra University for the first time in India besides his interest in subjects like groundwater and geology in the service of society. The lecture shall be once in two years at the time of Annual General Meeting of the Society by a speaker chosen for his/her contributions in the advancement of Geoscience &teaching, R&D, Mineral and Water Resources on subjects like ground water geology or geology in the service of society.
