S. Suryaprakash Rao Endowment Lecture
S. Suryaprakash Rao was a promising geologist working with the Groundwater Survey Unit of the Government of Maharashtra. Suryaprakash Rao was a Fellow of the Society having been elected in the year 1972. His parents and near relatives contributed Rs.5,000/- and desired that the sum be used in furthering the knowledge about groundwater in the year 1983. The Council of the Society decided on arranging a commemoration lecture once in two years by inviting a reputed groundwater specialist to address the members of the Society on an important aspect of groundwater. The lectures delivered till date by well-known hydrogeologists is listed below:
